If a person's facial appearance seemed blank, it is really hard for them to determine what a person is thinking. By doing so, you are letting others know that you are in control of the situation and that they cannot impose on you, it can be a way of getting what you want.

The term poker face is now being applied in other areas. In school the poker face look seemed to work as a way of keeping off the bullies. If one has a poker face then it sends a message to school bullies that whatever they do to you will not affect you, so they are just wasting their time pushing you around. In business, some businessmen also use this look especially if they are having some negotiations.

If one's facial expression seemed blur, then it will be difficult for people to determine whether their terms and conditions are fine with you. This look will make you in control of any business situation. The blank look will make any businessman appear to be serious and strong with their decisions, which can make others agree with them.
